Thai/Afghan

Oral History

The Afghan seed was brought back to the U.S. in 1972 for cultivation and has been breed onto itself for 15 generations. The seed has never been given out and remains in a personal collection. It is a genetically stable, “ True Breed “ seed and will be bred every year from now on to continue the genetic line. The Thai seed was brought back from Thailand in 1980 and has been bred onto itself for 10 generations and is also part of a personal collection that has not been given out and will be bred for seed genetics every year starting in 2019. The Thai has moderate stability and splits into a Purple stem and Green stem plant,so the breeding is continually trying to permanently separate the two.
